Green Lake Addition

After living in their vacation home for 30 years, this family outgrew their space.

A new kitchen and dining area needed to accommodate, in some cases, over 50 people at family reunions. The area that was once family, dining, and kitchen, became the living room. The entire plan remained open for easy traffic flow from one area to the next.

Below the new kitchen/ dining area, multiple sleeping rooms were created to serve different ages and families. The new addition maintains the original material palette of the existing building and connects old and new with a glass wall that takes advantage of the incredible view of Green Lake.
