Claudia

Claudia Mendelson grew up in Flossmoor, IL before moving to Pittsburgh, PA where she attended Shady Side Academy. Claudia received a BA in Design of the Environment from The University of Pennsylvania. Prior to receiving her Master of Architecture Degree, Claudia worked for an architecture firm in New York City. She also was an assistant buyer for Macy’s in New York before moving on to San Francisco where she worked as a buyer for Pottery Barn, a division of Williams Sonoma, Inc.

Claudia received her Master of Architecture from the University of Pennsylvania and studied abroad in Japan as well as at the Architectural Association in London. At Penn, Claudia received the Alpha Rho Chi Medal for leadership, willing service, and promise of professional merit.

Claudia has worked for architecture firms in NYC, Philadelphia and Chicago, including RMJM Hillier Philadelphia, and Booth Hansen Associates in Chicago, where she worked on the renovation of the Palmolive building. She has worked on a variety of projects ranging from residential to commercial to healthcare. Claudia’s experience in the design world, both on the creative side and the business side, give her a unique approach towards clients and their projects and expand the possibilities for creative solutions.

Other fun facts:

In addition to her design interests including architectural design, photography and printmaking, Claudia loves to ice skate and played ice hockey at the University of Pennsylvania. Claudia participates in many local activities in the community including yoga, swimming, book clubs, and spending time at her local coffee shop. Claudia mostly loves to spend time with her husband, Josh and their daughter, Celia.
